Sixth Annual Rock The Foundation Event Raises Record $200,000 In Support Of Nonprofits

SAN DIEGO, CA, October 13, 2015 – The Barney & Barney Foundation today announced it has awarded grants to seven nonprofit organizations in San Diego, Orange County and the San Francisco Bay Area following its recent benefit concert at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in San Diego.
This year’s sixth annual Rock The Foundation event helped raise $200,000 to support organizations in the communities served by Barney & Barney. The Barney & Barney Foundation, established in 2009 by Barney & Barney Insurance Services LLC, a Marsh & McLennan Agency LLC company, has now made more than $1.7 million in grants to nonprofit organizations in California.

The headline sponsor of Rock The Foundation event, The Hartford, was joined by other key sponsors including Aflac, Chubb, Aetna, One Beacon, Zenith, Guardian, Travelers, Zurich, UNUM, Kaiser and San Diego Business Journal.
The 2015 grant recipients include the following:

- Barrio Logan College Institute – $50,000
- Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Diego County – $25,000
- Partnerships With Industry – $25,000
- Special Olympics of Southern California – $25,000
Orange County
- Women Helping Women/Men 2 Work – $25,000
San Francisco Bay Area
- Urban Releaf – $25,000
- Youth Homes – $25,000
