Seventh Annual Event to Support Nonprofit Organizations in San Diego

SAN DIEGO, CA, September 2, 2016 – The Barney & Barney Foundation today announced that Atomic Groove will headline its annual fundraising event, Rock The Foundation, on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in San Diego.
The Barney & Barney Foundation, established in 2009 by Barney & Barney Insurance Services LLC, a Marsh & McLennan Agency LLC company, donates proceeds from the Rock The Foundation concert and charity golf tournaments to nonprofit organizations in San Diego, Orange County and the San Francisco Bay Area.
Now in its seventh year, Rock The Foundation event is lead by Barney & Barney, with support from headline sponsors Word & Brown, and RT Specialty. Other key sponsors are Aflac, Aetna, Zenith, One Beacon, Kemper, TransAmerica, Travelers, Zurich, UNUM, Kaiser, Hanover, CRC Insurance Services, FIRST Insurance Funding, The Hartford, Nationwide and San Diego Business Journal.

Variety dance band Atomic Groove has become a local favorite on the entertainment scene for more than two decades. Band Leader and Lead Vocalist, Carrie Weiland, heads up the group, which was recently awarded San Diego’s Best Local Band 2016.
Since inception, the Barney & Barney Foundation has awarded over $2 million in grants to more than 80 nonprofit organizations in California. The San Diego grant recipients from this year’s concert will be the following:
– Boys & Girls Clubs of San Dieguito
– Junior Achievement of San Diego County
– Women’s Resource Center of Oceanside
