The Barney & Barney Foundation and Marsh & McLennan Agency (MMA) employees in the West Region are doing their part to support COVID-19 relief efforts in California, Arizona and Alaska.
The Foundation has contributed $100,000 to community organizations providing food, clothing and shelter for vulnerable individuals and families, as well as healthcare clinics and immigrant populations.
The Foundation was created to formalize the firm’s commitment to giving back to the community, and was named after the legacy agency which was acquired by MMA in 2014. Since its establishment in 2009, the Foundation has given more than $3 million to 200 nonprofits in communities served by MMA’s West region locations.
MMA Colleagues Step Up
Complementing the Foundation’s financial support are individual contributions from regional MMA colleagues, who have raised over $27,500 thus far for COVID-19 relief in their local communities in California, Arizona and Alaska.
“I’m incredibly proud of how our colleagues have stepped up to care not only for the most vulnerable, but also for one another,” said Chris Williams, CEO of MMA’s West Region. “It is MMA’s mission to be there for our colleagues, clients, and community during the moments that matter. Directing our grants to those most impacted by COVID-19 is just one way we’re helping our communities recover.”
