Community Involvement

In addition to the Barney & Barney Foundation and the annual fundraising events held in each office region, MMA is committed to giving back to the community by volunteering to support those in need. In 2014, the Association of Fundraising Professionals San Diego Chapter (AFPSD) honored the Barney & Barney Foundation as an Outstanding Philanthropic Organization. Watch the video here.

MMA West Region colleagues volunteered with 2015 Grant Recipients to witness first-hand the services and support these organizations provide to better our communities. Find out more and view pictures from these events in our spotlight on community involvement. The Foundation is extremely excited to volunteer with our 2016 Grant Recipients this summer.

Community Challenge

MMA is committed to building meaningful and long-lasting relationships in our community through our involvement in professional organizations, philanthropy and volunteerism. Since community involvement is about more than big checks and canned food drives, the Barney & Barney Foundation challenged MMA colleagues to share their time and talents to make a difference in our community in 2014. As part of the initiative, associates are given a volunteering goal each year.

In 2016 Community Challenge, our colleagues volunteered 4,256 hours in the local community and 50 associates qualified for a grant to donate to the non-profit of their choice.

To celebrate their efforts, the Barney & Barney Foundation awarded $20,800 in grants to organizations selected by our top volunteers.

The 2017 Community Challenge is in full swing. If you are an organization looking for volunteers, please contact community.challenge@barneyandbarney.com to find out how MMA colleagues can donate their time and talents to your worthy cause.
