Grant Recipients

From preserving an ecosystem to helping families dealing with hardship, the Barney & Barney Foundation’s Grant Recipients work tirelessly to improve our community and create a brighter tomorrow.

Our previous Grant Recipients have used their grant money in a variety of ways to better the communities of San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles, and the Bay Area.

Since 2009, the Barney & Barney Foundation has awarded nearly $4.2 million to more than 250 non-profits. To learn more about our past grant recipients, click here.

We look forward to announcing our 2024 Grant Recipients!

Grant Recipients are local non-profit organizations who are nonimated and selected each year by our colleagues. The Foundation Committee reviews all grant applications and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors for approval, who narrow the candidates to 2-3 per area of focus. This can include supporting the youth and our communities or arts and the environment. This process allows the Barney & Barney Foundation to recognize the overall merits and qualifications of each applicant, while also ensuring that the distribution of grants is in line with the Foundation’s mission statement and goals.

The Foundation is committed to supporting a variety of deserving causes, and it is our intention to select different non-profit organizations each year.
