MMA West’s Support for California Non Profits Tops $3 Million

SAN DIEGO, October 25, 2018Marsh & McLennan Insurance Agency LLC (MMA) today announced that the Barney & Barney Foundation awarded grants to 11 California nonprofit organizations in 2018.

The Foundation has now awarded almost $3 million in grants to over 200 nonprofits in California since it was established in 2009 to support community-based organizations.

“As the Foundation marks its 10th anniversary, it continues to serve its original mission of helping local nonprofits strengthen communities,” said Paul Hering, MMA Western Region CEO. “The $280,000 in contributions made in 2018 are due to the generosity of our employees, sponsors, business partners and individuals in the community. On behalf of everyone at MMA, I want to thank donors and the organizations who are creating more vibrant and healthy communities.”

The Foundation donates proceeds from its annual Rock The Foundation concert and Charity Golf Tournaments to nonprofits in San Diego, Orange County and the San Francisco Bay Area. The Foundation was created by Barney & Barney, which became part of MMA in 2014.

SAN Diego, CA, January 10, 2018Marsh & McLennan Insurance Agency LLC (MMA) today announced that the Barney & Barney Foundation awarded grants to nine California nonprofit organizations in 2017.

Since 2009, the Foundation has made more than $2.8 million in grants to 80 charitable groups in California.

The Foundation donates proceeds from its annual Rock The Foundation concert and Charity Golf Tournaments to nonprofits in San Diego, Orange County and the San Francisco Bay Area. The Foundation was created by Barney & Barney, which became part of MMA in 2014.

ALISO VIEJO, December 23, 2015Barney & Barney, a Marsh & McLennan Insurance Agency LLC company, today announced that its Orange County Golf Classic raised $60,000 for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at CHOC Children’s Hospital in Orange County, California.

CHOC operates one of the nation’s most highly regarded NICUs and provides tertiary and quaternary care to premature infants and babies born with a variety of serous conditions requiring specialized care.

“Barney & Barney is proud to support the wonderful work of CHOC,” said Travis Trask, Principal and Managing Director of the firm’s Orange County office. “We truly appreciate the support of our sponsors and the individuals who participated. This a special event that reflects the heartfelt generosity of the Orange County community.”

The proceeds from donations, golf registrations and sponsorships will go directly to support the hospital’s NICU babies and their families. The fourth annual tournament took place on Monday, Dec. 7 at the Dove Canyon Country Club.
